About Us

On East Trade Street in uptown Charlotte, Spectrum Center has earned a 4.5-star rating across more than 8,400 reviews, and the reason is simple: the place just works. Getting in is smooth, getting out is faster than you'd expect (Charlotte PD has the traffic flow dialed in), and the food options inside are genuinely good, not the afterthought you find at most arenas.

The building seats over 19,000 and hosts Charlotte Hornets NBA games, blockbuster concert tours, and major special events, yet it never feels anonymous. Guests who came to see the Four Queens of Soul on a girls' night out walked away calling it one for the memory books. Families celebrating birthdays at a Hornets game leave talking about how easy the whole experience was.

The location is a big part of that ease. Spectrum Center sits directly across from the Charlotte Transportation Center, putting light rail, buses, and a ring of parking garages within a short walk. Whether you drove in from the suburbs or hopped the Gold Line from South End, you spend your energy on the event, not the logistics.

What We Offer

Spectrum Center is Charlotte's primary home for NBA basketball, hosting every Charlotte Hornets home game from October through April in an atmosphere that crackles from tip-off to the final buzzer. Premium seating options range from courtside seats to club-level suites, giving groups of every size a way to experience the game in style.

Beyond basketball, the arena's 19,000-seat capacity makes it the go-to destination for major concert tours, award shows, family entertainment events, and large-scale productions that need a world-class stage. The full-service food and beverage program spans everything from arena classics to locally inspired options throughout the concourse.

For corporate clients and organizations, private suite rentals and group ticket packages offer a polished setting for entertaining clients or rewarding teams. The central uptown address, walkable transit access, and professional event staff make Spectrum Center one of the most logistically friendly large venues in the Southeast.

"We were at the spectrum center tonight to see the four queens of soul. Gladys Knight, Stephanie Mills, Patti LaBelle, and Chaka Khan. This will be a night to remember it was the girls night out and we had a great time. The music was nonstop and just everything you could have dreamed of, they sang quite a few of our favorite songs. The staff was very helpful so kudos to them keep up the good work."

"Wow! Such a good arena to catch a basketball game. Right in the heart of Charlotte and within walking distance of transit and many parking garages. Located across from the Charlotte Transportation Center, the city's main bus hub and light rail stop. Enjoyed the venue because of the different types of food stations, grab and go options, multiple large bars that can serve like 40 people and large hang out area on the second level. Not a bad seat in the house!"

"Attended multiple concerts and shows here and as always it can get hectic! From parking locations, parking PRICES, crowds, security, etc. Once you get through all that, pretty nice place. Clean, multiple eating locations and bars throughout. We attended a comedy show and this got a mini suite and it was nice. Went through VIP entrance, very smooth and efficient. They have a food buffet outside on your suites which consisted of hot dogs, baked potato, meatloaf, chips and dip with chicken sliders. Pretty good not bad. In our suites we had unlimited beer, unlimited bottles of wine and soft drinks, cheese and meat selection. Good seats with an island and chairs to sit around and talk while eating. Worth the price to split between friends and enjoy a show in a semi private experience."
